Concert for Cats is a fundraising recital started in 2013 in aid of The Scratching Post Cat Rescue.  Although billed as an organ recital - taking advantage of the magnificent instrument at St Mary the Virgin & All Saints in Potters Bar - we usually manage to sneak a few other instruments in there too and over the past few years the repertoire has included cello, harp and piano music as well as an amazing vocal contribution of "Duetto buffo di due gatti" - the "Cat Duet".

Entry is free to these recitals, with funds being raised through the sale of crafts, cakes and refreshments as well as donations of money, cat food and litter.

The Scratching Post Cat Rescue is based near Waltham Abbey and helps homeless and abandoned cats throughout the area.  Relying solely on volunteers and donations, they aim never to put a healthy cat down and to try to match cats up with their purrfect forever homes.  Please visit their website at www.scratchingpost.co.uk for more information on the charity's history, cats who are currently needing homes and other ways to help TSP.

St Mary the Virgin & All Saints Church has been serving Potters Bar for 100 years, rooted in the catholic tradition of the Church of England.  It has a strong musical history, offering monthly lunchtime musical recitals for over twenty years as well as other concerts and performances by groups such as the Potters Bar Choral Society and the New Virtuosi International Mastercourse.
